Sofia Marshall grew up in New York and moved to Texas with her family as a young teen. She later moved to Denton with her husband, Cody, and stepson, Dawson. Now together they have two daughters, Grace and Suri, and an adorable dog, Oliver. Sofia graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and taught K-3rd grade for LISD for over ten years. Although she loved teaching at a public school, she was excited to start Little Roots Christian Academy (LRCA) and teach about Jesus. Sofia has been part of her church family since 2011 and has enjoyed serving in Kids Ministry with her husband.

John Cody Marshall was born and raised in Texas. He has three children and is married to his lovely wife, Sofia. He has worked in sales most of his adult career but has always felt called to serve the kingdom of God. He has had the opportunity to serve in ministry for over a decade, and he quickly realized that he had the most fun and passion for kids ministry. He was so excited to join his wife and start LRCA!
